This week on Diff’rent Strokes…
TV:
Ready or not, Australia’s set to get its own answer to the infamous Jersey Shore with a new home grown reality series. Channel Ten’s The Shire – set in Sutherland Shire in Sydney’s South – will follow select bunch of interesting individuals, hopefully shedding light on the “tribe-like” subculture happening in the city.
Tonight Dave will discuss why a bit of trashy and frank look into a particular Australian city sub-culture might not be such a bad idea after all. Expect for Jade to flip out on another degrading, deplorable television program getting air time.
MUSIC:
Dave brings in pop music journalist and premiere Madonna fan – Adem Ali aka AdemwithanE – to discuss the Material Girl‘s somewhat divisive new album MDNA. From muscly electronica with frivolous lyrics to confessional tracks about her divorce, any wonder why this might be Madonna‘s most interesting and personal album since American Life?
Watch the fierce new music video for Madonna‘s ‘Girl Gone Wild’:
You can also read Dave‘s review of the video, if you’re so inclined.
ONLINE:
Jade checks out an awesome new app called Frameographer (formerly known as Frames). Basically what it does is, stitch together still-frame iPhone images to make a video. Think stop motion or time lapse clips, everybody!
